Actor Rana Daggubati’s much-awaited upcoming film ”Virata Parvam’‘ is among the many Tollywood projects affected by the coronavirus lockdown. Directed by Venu Udugula, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Priyamani and Nandita Das in crucial roles.
Recent rumours suggested that ”Virata Parvam” may just release straight to a streaming platform soon. It seems that a popular OTT platform is interested in getting the digital rights of ”Virata Parvam.” However, the proposal was rejected by the filmmakers. The makers won’t to release the film on any OTT and they reportedly want to wait for theatrical release for the next few months. The film’s director Venu Udugula has refuted the same. He has reportedly revealed that ‘‘Virata Parvam” will be released only in theatres and he said they are not in hurry.
‘Virata Parvam’‘ has so far completed only 50 per cent of its shooting. The film unit plans to resume shooting of the film from November. Bankrolled by Suresh Productions, the film will revolve around the Maoist movement in the 1990s. Apart from this film, Rana Daggubati has a slew of interesting in his kitty. He will also be next seen in Prabhu Solomon’s Aranya, Sathyasiva’s Tamil-Telugu film 1945 and Gunashekar’s mythical film Hiranyakashyap.
