Ranveer Singh to take on a double role in Rohit Shetty’s next titled 'Cirkus'

It looks like it is going to be double trouble on the sets of Rohit Shetty’s next with Bollywood livewire Ranveer Singh taking on his first double role.

The film that has been keeping B-town buzzing will reportedly be an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors. Originally rumoured to be a remake of ‘Angoor’, reports now claim that the comic caper has been titled ‘Cirkus’.

According to reports on Filmfare, the film will tell the story of identical twins separated at birth, only to be reunited years later, leading to a comedy of errors. The film will also see Varun Sharma in a leading role, playing identical attendants to Ranveer’s characters. Fans can expect the film to have Rohit’s signature brand of humour.

Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde have been roped in as the female leads in the film that will also feature Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee and Johnny Lever in significant roles. Ranveer is also set to reunite with his ‘Simmba’ actor Sulbha Arya.

The shoot is expected to go on floors next month, with schedules set to be shot in Ooty, Goa and Mumbai.

While Ranveer and Rohit await the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’, reports state that this comedy is slated for a 2021 release.
