Raveena Tandon is a force to reckon with in the industry today. The actress, who recently completed 30 glorious years in Bollywood, revealed that she never wanted to be an actor.
In an interview with a news portal, Raveena reportedly said that she is in this industry by default. The actress revealed that she never wanted to be an actress. She was a little plump, reserved kid who bit her nails, was always conscious of people looking at her. However, fortunately even in school, she got lead roles in the play they performed at annual functions. According to her, it always worked for her.
Not many know that she had an ambition of venturing into direction initially. Spilling some beans on the same, the actress reportedly stated that when she joined Prahlad Kakkar, he always told her that she needs to be on screen and she used to say no. Raveena revealed that she started getting offers, but she refused and was keen to finishing her education first.
Elaborating further, the ace actress added that she got seven-eight offers before ‘Patthar Ke Phool’, like ‘Jungle’ and ‘Heer Ranjha’. According to her, it was destiny that the makers spotted her in her first year of college. She also clarified that it wasn’t her father Ravi Tandon who influenced someone to take her into films, or pushed her. She also went on to say that if she didn’t have the face for it, she wouldn’t have been discovered or got offers.
