RGV's ''Corona Virus'' is the first film to be released in theatres after lockdown

It is a known fact that the global coronavirus pandemic has seen the film industry suffer massive financial loses, with thousands of theatres countrywide forced to shut down. On a happy note, the government of India has permitted to reopen theatres from October 15 with 50 per cent occupancy.

As soon as the news broke, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has announced that his film Corona Virus, which was being made during the lockdown with strict measures, will be released in theatres, making it the first Telugu film to be released in theatres after lockdown 5.0.

Sharing the trailer of the film, RGV took to his Twitter and wrote, ”Finally theatres are open from October 15th and happy to announce that CORONAVIRUS will be the FIRST FILM TO RELEASE AFTER LOCKDOWN #CoronaVirusFilm https://youtu.be/D3EdI6G2tF4.”

Directed by Agasthya Manju, Corona Virus is about a family caught in the lockdown situation and stars Srikanth Iyengar, Vamsee Chaganti, Dora Sai Teja, Sonia Akula and Dakkshi Guttikonda. Ram Gopal Varma revealed that the film has been entirely shot during the lockdown and will be 1st film to release after lockdown is lifted on movie theatres.

Corona Virus has been bankrolled by Ram Gopal Varma under the banner of A Company / CM Creations Production. DSR has composed music for this flick.
