Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau this evening has been hailed by many across the country. But the probe into the actor’s death is far from over, with the NCB and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following up different leads in the case. The agency had earlier arrested Rhea’s brother Showik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda in relation to the case. When we asked union minister Babul Supriyo about his view on the development, he said he’s not really concerned about who is arrested and who isn’t. “I think the law will take its own course. And now that three premier agencies of the country are looking into the case together, I think we’ll soon see a closure to this very emotionally (charged) case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, which has actually shaken the country. I hope the case reaches a closure and the culprits who may have played a role in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput are brought to justice,” he added.
It may be mentioned here that Supriyo had lambasted Sanjay Raut on social media on Monday for the language the latter used against actress Kangana Ranaut after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. “U can disagree with anyone but wud you like it if someone who disagrees with your daughter calls her _____ !! Shame on you ! Strongly condemn it irrespective of what Kangana said which we hv every right to disagree with !! (sic),” he had written on Facebook.
