Recently, Ali Fazal stepped into Hollywood with his upcoming ‘Death On The Nile’ featuring Gal Gadot. As soon as the trailer of the film was launched, Ali received several praises from the netizens, including his Bollywood colleagues. However, recently Ali’s fiancé Richa Chadha took to Twitter to slam a news agency for their headline regarding Ali’s role that read, “blink-and-miss appearance in the Kenneth Branagh directorial.”
She replied and wrote, “What’s with the headline? Past 2 months you were crying that outsiders face discrimination. So how about the role of the media in discrediting their achievements? Shall I send over cutlery so you can eat your words after you watch the film?”
This doesn’t stop here, Richa further retweeted another article from the new agency with a similar “bling-and-miss” phase. She added, “subtly running down the magnificent achievement of our senior actress Dimple Kapadia. Are you obsessed with the phrase ‘blink and miss’? Is it a small feat to be cast by Chris Nolan, one of the biggest directors on the planet? Does that happen everyday?
“Ya know, so many of my actor friends are affected by toxic, click-baity headlines… so many! Some grow thick skin, some are softer. And in the past we’ve debated if one should let it go, or take it up. Often feared backlash Today, I decided to take this up. That’s all,” said Richa in her latest tweet.
Meanwhile, earlier while sharing the trailer on social media Ali Fazal wrote in the caption, “This ones for Mom. She might’ve liked it.”
