Pop Icon Rihanna, who has held the title of the world’s wealthiest female musician, just received some huge news! Her lingerie line has been valued at USD 1 billion.
The line that was launched in 2018 is anticipated to be the market’s leader by 2025. According to a Forbes report, Rihanna‘s “brand has proven that diversity and inclusion in sizing, access, and marketing can lead to an even greater goal, equity in feeling sexy.”
Reports on international portals state that the brand recorded revenue growth of more than 200% last year.
Besides her lingerie business, the singer and actress is also heading a beauty band. Her latest goal to launch a clothing brand was, however, put on hold recently.
Apart from making waves as a businesswoman, Rihanna recently upset fans when she was pictured topless with a pendant of Lord Ganesha around her neck. The picture sparked off a furore among social media users who called the post “derogatory” and accused her of disrespecting Hindu gods and hurting local sentiment.
Images of the lingerie photoshoot come just weeks after her Tweet on the farmer’s movement in India, sent shockwaves through the country and even prompted the Ministry of External Affairs to step in and issue a press note.
