Though the multiplex and single screen scenes in Mumbai have been grim, the excitement of people to watch films at cinema halls down south has been a sign of positivity for many. Vijay-starrer Tamil flick Master and Ravi Teja-Shruti Haasan Starrer Telugu film Krack were successful in bringing back crowds to the big screen in the southern states of India.
This phenomenon, like many from the Hindi film fraternity has brought in a ray of hope to Riteish Deshmukh, who’s not only looking forward to his ventures as an actor but also as a producer. Also, especially, as he rightly points out that the last theatrical release of 2020 being Baaghi 3, which starred the actor along with Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor and released in the month of March.
He says, “I am happy that these south films received great response from the audience. I am happy that finally people are coming out of their homes and watching movies in theatres. I am sure this has also been a respite for owners of cinema halls.”
Riteish hopes that the New Year keeps him busier. He signs off saying, “I am just seeing how things unfold. We are ready with our Marathi project. If all goes well we should be on floor by the month end.”
