Rituparna on #metoo allegation against Anurag Kashyap: He’s a true gentleman

Amidst the #metoo allegation against him and nationwide uproar acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has found support from even his ex-wives Kalki Koechlin and Aarti Bajaj who have defended the filmmaker despite the allegations of sexual harassment by actress Payel Ghosh.

Now, Rituparna Sengupta who will soon be seen in a Hindi film opposite Anurag has extended her support to her co-actor saying she had a wonderful shooting experience with the actor-director.

“I have met Anurag in Mumbai, then at Cannes. We have done outdoor in Jalpaiguri as well. What I have seen is he’s a great companion. He’s a true gentleman. We used to discuss a lot on different films. He spoke a lot about his daughter. Anurag loves different dishes on fish, so we used to try out a lot of dishes. I have never felt any bad thing inside him. I don’t know what happened to the girl who has come up with the #metoo allegation. So, i won’t comment on what she has alleged. But I can tell one thing, I had a great working experience with Anurag,” Rituparna told ETimes during an exclusive chat over the phone.

Rituparna who is currently in Singapore will make her return to Bollywood with Hari Viswanath’s second feature film ‘Bansuri’. In the film the seasoned actress plays Anurag Kashyap’s wife.

Interestingly, personal relations aside, many actresses like Radika Apte, Taapsee Pannu and others who have featured in Anurag Kashyap’s directorial projects have also raised their voices against the claims by Payel Ghosh.
