Saif Ali Khan rubbishes reports of him backing out from his autobiography; says 'It will be a tough balance of honesty and gloss'

Saif Ali Khan, who is currently in Dharamshala shooting for his next film ‘Bhoot Police’, has issued an official statement and clarified that he is doing his autobiography. After reports of him backing out of writing his autobiography started doing the rounds, the actor made rubbished the rumours.

His official statement read, “I am of course doing my autobiography. I was only thinking aloud. It will be a tough balance of honesty and gloss.” Recently, Saif appeared on Jacqueline Fernandez and Amanda Cerny’s new podcast and revealed that he is considering backing out of writing his book.

During the interview, Saif said that he is not prepared for the abuse that he will receive for being honest with his story. He further said that there is a section of the audience that is so negative in India that he doesn’t want to share his life and talk about things.

Saif announced his autobiography in August this year and he had expressed his excitement about writing the book. Speaking about his book, Saif had earlier told BT, “So many things have changed and will be lost with time if we don’t record them. It would be nice to look back; to remember and to record. It has been funny and moving, and I must say, this is quite a selfish endeavour. I do hope others enjoy the book, too, of course!”

On the personal front, Saif will be welcoming his second baby with Kareena Kapoor Khan in 2021.
