Salman Khan to resume 'Radhe' shoot on October 2 in Karjat with a doctor and ambulance present at studio

Salman Khan will get back on sets in October after a seven-month break to wrap up his upcoming action thriller, ‘Radhe’. We have now learnt that the shoot kicks off on October 2 at ND Studios in Karjat. This 15-day schedule will be followed by a final shoot at Mehboob Studios in Bandra for the patchwork. The team will not only comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid down by the government, but will also take some extra precautions to ensure the safety of the cast and crew.

Since they will be filming in the outskirts of Mumbai, to avoid day-to-day travel, the production team has booked a hotel close to ND Studios, where all the technicians will be housed. They will not be allowed to meet any outsiders for the duration of the shoot.

“The first round of Covid-19 tests has been taken by the entire crew and no one has tested positive. A second test will be taken by those in close proximity on the set, including the actors and the core team. The crew has also been briefed about the protocols to be followed on set through a special video to avoid last-minute confusion,” informed a source close to the development. “A dedicated team of doctors, including a personal team of Salman, will be present to maintain hygiene and discipline on set.”

Confirming this Sohail Khan, who is producing the film with brother Salman and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, stated that they are creating an air bubble and all modes of transportation will be regularly sanitised. “A health and safety officer, along with a doctor and ambulance, will be stationed on the set. Signage and colour bands for bifurcation of the team will be followed, along with government mandates on insurance. A team of specially trained personnel has been inducted to dispose off the PPE kits and masks after use according to the guidelines provided,” he shared.

Atul is expecting to complete this schedule in the next 15 to 20 days, during which they will be canning some action scenes. “The team will be joined by a stunt director from Chennai to finish the action patchwork. We are hoping for a hassle-free shoot by maintaining the utmost level of care throughout,” he maintained.

The technicians have been paid at regular intervals during the months of lockdown. There have been no pay cuts for anyone. Apart from Salman and his leading lady, Disha Patani, the Prabhudheva directorial features Randeep Hooda as the antagonist and Jackie Shroff, who plays an interesting character and will join the team during the final leg of shoot.
