Sanjay Dutt took to social media today to announce that he has recovered from a recent health scare, reportedly having battled lung cancer. He picked the occasion of his twins, Shahraan and Iqra’s 10th birthday to share the happy news. “The last few weeks were very difficult time for my family and me. But like they say, God gives the hardest battles to the strongest soldiers. And today, on the occasion of my kid’s birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best gift I can- the health and well being of our family,” shared the actor.

He also expressed gratitude towards fans and well-wishers, “This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering faith and support from all of you. Back in August, Sanjay Dutt had announced on social media that he was taking a break from work for medical reasons. It was soon reported that the ‘Vaastav’ actor had been diagnosed with lung cancer and he underwent chemotherapy treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. Soon after, Sanjay Dutt began shooting for his film ‘Shamshera’ and recently he reported on the sets of his South film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.
