Sanjay Dutt was admitted to a city hospital this week, as reports suggested the actor has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The actor is currently undergoing tests and is expected to return home once with reports are out. A source informed Mumbai Mirror, “Despite knowing this will be a long and tough journey, they are determined to go about their lives as normally as possible, confident that this too shall pass. Right now, the preliminary tests are being conducted. So, Sanjay is not expected to be in the hospital for a long time. Once the reports are out, he will return home but hospital visits will be frequent.”

Maanyata Dutt, who returned to India after the actor’s health scare, is currently in quarantine and Priya Dutt is seen with Sanjay Dutt during the hospital visits. Reports suggested the Sanjay Dutt may fly out to US or Malaysia for further treatment. “For those asking, Sanju will complete his preliminary treatment in Mumbai. We will formulate further plans of travel depending on how and when the covid situation eases,” Maanyata had shared in an official statement.

Previously, Sanjay Dutt had informed his fans that he is going on a short break from work for medical reasons. “My family and friends are with me and I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With you love and good wishes, I will be back soon!” Dutt had posted on August 11.
