Salman Khan starrer ‘Tere Naam’, which was released in 2003, is one of the most loved films of the actor. The ‘Dabangg’ star had received immense appreciation and love for the film. Now, director Satish Kaushik has good news for all his fans who has been waiting for the sequel.
In an interview with a news portal, Satish hinted that a sequel might indeed be in the offing as protagonist Radhe’s journey is far from over. The actor-director also revealed that he has a few stories that can take ‘Tere Naam’ ahead but he is yet to discuss it with Salman.
Meanwhile, Satish is working on his next directorial venture titled, ‘Kagaz’ which will be presented by Salman Khan. Spilling the beans on how the ‘Dabangg’ actor came on board as a presenter for the film, he revealed that the story has been with him since 2003 when he bought the rights from Lal Bihari on whom the film is based. Kaushik had gone to Malta to shoot for ‘Bharat’ last year and that is when he happened to discuss ‘Kagaz’ with Salman.
Talking about his reaction, the director said that Salman fell in love with the story, and offered to present the film. He added that he is fortunate that Khan supported this small film.
About the film, he added that the team at Salman Khan Films is negotiating its release. Now they are waiting to see whether it hits the screens or premieres on an OTT platform.
