Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation has donated 2,000 PPE kits, extending support to the frontline workers in Chhattisgarh. Appreciating the actor’s efforts, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, praised Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter. He thanked Meer foundation for their contribution in this ‘big fight’, while also sharing pictures the kits that were delivered.

इस बड़ी लड़ाई में मीर फाउंडेशन के इस योगदान के लिए मैं शुक्रिया अदा करता हूं।

Previously, Shah Rukh Khan had announced a series of initiatives to help the country fight the pandemic. SRK had shared that a kitchen would be set up to send out 2000 freshly cooked meals everyday to help households and hospitals whose daily needs aren’t being fulfilled. While his Roti Foundation would provide Rs 3 lakh meal kits to 10,000 underprivileged people and daily wage labourers daily for at least a month in Mumbai. Previously it was revealed that Mir Foundation has joined hands with Working People’s Charter to provide basic essentials and grocery items for at least a month to over 2500 daily wage workers in Delhi.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his next movie. Last seen in ‘Zero’, reports suggest that the actor is all set to join hands with Rajkumar Hirani. Shah Rukh Khan has also signed up for a cameo in ‘Brahmastra’, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead.
