Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut questions NCB for summoning Bollywood celebrities in drug-related probe: Why target people from one industry?

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has slammed the Narcotics Control Bureau for summoning Bollywood celebrities in connection to the drugs-probe, that surfaced post Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. Hitting out at the investigating agency, Sanjay Raut was quoted by ANI, “Narcotics Control Bureau’s job is to prevent drug smuggling, but here they are calling one person after the other. In which field, there is no addiction? Some have an addiction to money, some have other addictions.” While speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut also questioned, “who doesn’t take drugs? Why target people from one industry?” and added that “NCB must prevent drug smuggling”.

The channel also reported that Rakul had confessed to the alleged ‘drug chats’ with Rhea Chakraborty but had denied indulging in substance abuse.

On Saturday, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have been asked to appear before the NCB. Deepika and Sara were in Goa, but arrived in the city on Thursday, ahead of their meeting with the investigating agency.
