Silambarasan's 'Maanadu' set to hit the big screens this Eid

Silambarasan has been so fiery after his physical transformation, and he is signing back-to-back films. The multi-talented actor is currently working for the political thriller ‘Maanadu’ with Venkat Prabhu, and the film shooting is nearing its completion. Now, the latest report is that Silambarasan’s ‘Maanadu’ will hit the big screens this Eid.

As many films are already planned to release in April, ‘Maanadu’ makers aim to release the film on May 14 during the occasion of Eid. Meanwhile, Vikram’s ‘Cobra’ is also expected to release during the same occasion, and it will Simbu versus Vikram at the box office this Eid if it happens.

‘Maanadu’ team is shooting for an important political gathering scene in a grand set built in Chennai. The team has been keen on maintaining safety restrictions, and they have banned mobile phone usage on the sets to avoid leakage of pictures. Silambarasan aka Simbu is playing the role of a Muslim man for the first time in his career, and the film will be changing the opinion of few people on Muslims.

Kalyani Priyadarshan plays opposite Simbu in the film, while SJ Suryah plays the antagonist. The political thriller also has Bharathiraj, SA Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Manoj, and several others, and it has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner V House Productions.
