SJ Suryah reveals what Vijay told him about his acting

In an interview, director-turned- actor SJ Suryah has revealed how actor Vijay appreciated his performance in the trailer of Nenjam Marapathillai. Recalling the incident, SJ Suryah said that he got a phone call around 11 pm while he was shooting for Mahesh Babu‘s Spyder in Hyderabad. Since the call came from an unknown number, he asked who was on the other side, and the reply came that it’s Vijay. Since his phone was running out of charge, the phone got switched off and when he charged it again; he got a call from the same number and it was actor Vijay on the other side. Suryah said that he was surprised and could not recognise that it was Vijay since the call came from a number that’s different from what he had saved.

Suryah said that Vijay had called to appreciate his acting in the movie’s trailer, Nenjam Marapathillai, directed by Selvaraghavan. Surya revealed Vijay said he had a hearty laugh after watching his line from the trailer, “Oru Manushan Evlodhaan Kashta paduvanya.” Surya said that Vijay told him he is a fan of Surya. Surya said that those words gave him big energy. Earlier, SJ Surya had directed Vijay in Kushi and he acted with him in Mersal.

Nenjam Marapathillai which got over five years ago stars Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha are playing the female leads in the film, which has Surya in the lead. The film has finally gotten a release date and is hitting the screens on March 5.
