Sonakshi Sinha opens up about doing title roles in films, says she wants to be that heroine you can picture in any kind of movie

After making her big Bollywood debut with ‘Dabangg’, opposite Salman Khan, there has been no looking back for Sonakshi Sinha. The actress recently opened up about her transition from starring in commercial pot-boilers to doing title roles in films.

Talking to a news portal, Sonakshi reportedly said that the success of ‘Dabangg’ established her as a quintessential Hindi film commercial heroine. After that, the actress stated that she was offered similar films. Sonakshi added that she enjoyed them because she loved watching these films. According to her, these are the ones that audiences really enjoy and go in throngs to theatres for. It helped her to garner an audience for herself, which later gave her the courage to take on title roles.

Elaborating further, Sonakshi added that she is happy that her graph has been such that she delved into everything. The actress stated that she wants to be that heroine you can picture in any kind of film, irrespective of whether it has a hero or not.

Sonakshi was shooting for her upcoming web-series when the lockdown was announced. She reportedly revealed that she is itching to get back to work as the work has resumed on most front.

She was last seen in ‘Dabangg 3’ co-starring Salman Khan and Saiee Manjrekar in lead roles. The movie also featured Kannada superstar Sudeep in a key role.
