She lost her father, an iconic figure in Bengal, on November 15 last year. It was the end of an era as Soumitra Chattopadhyay passed away from Covid-19 complications at Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata. It left his daughter Poulami Bose in shock as she was right there from the beginning when Soumitra was first admitted to the hospital.
Now, if the latest reports are to believe, Poulami has been tested positive for COVID-19. However, her condition is not critical and she’s staying at home in complete isolation taking proper medication. Poulami is also organizing various exhibitions, programs to celebrate his father’s birthday on January 19. The Soumitra Chatterjee Foundation is paying tribute to the legend in every possible way.
Soumitra Chattopadhyay had contracted Covid-19 in early October after completing the shoot of a biopic on him, titled ‘Abhijaan’, directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay. Although he later tested negative for the virus his condition gradually deteriorated.
