SP Balasubrahmanyam being monitored in hospital’s high dependency unit

Earlier this month, legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam opened about testing positive for COVID-19 and assured his friends and fans he is safe quarantining at home. Though the popular singer was advised to home quarantine since he had a mild COVID-19 postive, he got admitted at a hospital in Chennai. The latest is that he continues to be stable and is maintaining normal oxygen saturation.

The hospital further said that he was being monitored by the expert team of clinicians in its High Dependency Unit (HDU). Initially the doctors had asked the singer to follow home quarantine since it’s just the beginning stage but he admitted himself at the hospital considering the health of people around him.

The singer had himself posted a video message on his social media on August 5, confirming that he had tested positive for Covid-19 after showing mild symptoms. He had also requested friends and well wishers not to call him to check how he was ad he wanted to take rest and recover as quickly as possible.

The legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam is an exceptional artist whose career spans more than five decades, in which he has entertained many generations with thousands of songs across the languages.
