Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam continues to remain hospitalise due to Covid-19, with his son SP Charan and the hospital providing regular updates of his health.
Numerous celebs took to social media since he was admitted to the ICU to pray for his well-being and musicians from the South-Indian film industry recently also held a virtual prayer session for the musician. Actress Vijayashanthi, who quit films for politics and recently made a comeback with Sarileru Neekevvaru this year, also took to social media to pray for his health.
Sharing an old picture of her and SP Balu, she penned a long heartfelt post in which she wrote, “I believe Balu will surely return with complete health thanks to the love and prayers of the numerous fans he made in his long career. The name SPB remains and will always be a brand that is thought of when people think of South Indian songs. His songs have the power to make even those who have two left feet dance, they will make anyone who doesn’t know music start humming.”
Adding how a whole generation of youngsters grew up listening to his songs, she added, “At least two generations must have heard his songs by now, one grew up listening to them. He had encouraged numerous singers through television shows and ensured they got a chance in the film industry. Not just the power of music, he taught the future generations the value of humility and obedience by his behaviour.”
Vijayashanthi summed up by stating how many will wait eagerly for one more song by the legendary singer. “Today not just Telugu people, but also Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and fans from North-India will wait for one more song for him. And it is these people’s determination that will make Balu sing for us again,” she wrote, rounding off.
