Suriya has a promising line-up of films, including Vetri Maaran’s Vaadivasal, Pandiraj’s yet-to-be-titled movie and Siva’s project, the pre-production of which, is rumoured to be happening currently as shooting of Annaatthe has been put on hold. Now, there is news doing the rounds that a leading Tollywood filmmaker is keen on teaming up with the actor. There were reports earlier that Surya will do a straight Telugu project. There were unconfirmed news of Telugu director Trivikram Srinivas joining hands with Suriya as the latter commands a good market in the neighbouring state of Andhra and Telangana.
Though it didn’t materialise, the latest news spreading like a wild fire on social media is that another director is readying a script for Suriya. Boyapati Srinu, who has directed a few leading stars in Tollywood, had written a script earlier keeping Prabhas in mind. We now hear that the director is ready to make some changes to the script and is keen to have Suriya playing the lead role in it. Boyapati’s film Bhadra had been remade into Tamil as Saravana in 2006. It has to be seen if this project will materialise, making this the actor’s much-awaited straight film in Tollywood.
