Sushant Singh Rajput Death: NCB makes another arrest in drug case

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has taken one more person, Jay Madhok, into custody in the drug case. This is the 22nd arrest, including actor Rhea Chakraborty, by the agency as the Bollywood drug connection in actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case continues to unravel many unpleasant truths.

Madhok, said to be a management graduate working in the banking sector, was arrested for reportedly consuming and selling narcotics. NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede has confirmed the news of the latest arrest.

According to reports, Madhok used to procure narcotics for both consumption and supplying it to his friends. He allegedly had connection with some of the accused already arrested in this case, such as Kshitij Prasad. It is believed they were all part of a single group. Now, NCB is searching for some other names. On Thursday, NCB had arrested two more in the drug case.

The investigators believe Madhok had direct links with a Nigerian national from whom he used to get cocaine regularly. During interrogation, Madhok reportedly revealed that he was in touch with Sam alias Rahil Vishram who used to supply hashish to him.

Earlier Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by the Bombay High Court. However, her brother Showik’s bail plea was rejected because of his closeness and direct links with the suspected drug peddlers.
