Swanandi Berde and Sumedh Mudgalkar have paired up for the big screen and will soon be seen together in Sandeep Joshi’s ‘Mann Yedyagat Jhala’. The director shared the teaser poster of his upcoming rom-com on social media recently. We have learnt that the film, which was shot in 2018, was set for a 2020 release but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interestingly, this is Sumedh’s fourth Marathi outing (after ‘Ventilator’, ‘Manjha’ and ‘Bucket List’), while for Swanandi this may be her big screen debut. Swanandi, who is late actor
Laxmikant Berde’s daughter, shares, “There is another film, directed by Kishor Belekar, which I am a part of and it is ready for release. I don’t know which film will be released first, but I am looking forward to making a foray into Marathi cinema in 2021.”
Sumedh, who is popular for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in the Hindi TV show ‘RadhaKrishn’, adds, “There’s a romantic as well as humourous side to my character in the film and that made it interesting for me. Plus, mouthing dialogues in the Kolhapuri dialect was quite fun.”
It looks like the audience will see a crackling chemistry between the youngsters on screen. To this, Swanandi says, “Sumedh and I gelled very well off the screen, and that will reflect on screen as well. Technically, he is my first hero so this will always be special.”
