If the on-going speculations in T-Town circles are anything to go by, popular South actress Sai Pallavi is in talks to play the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister in ‘Vedalam’ Telugu remake which will be reportedly helmed by Meher Ramesh of ‘Billa’ fame. In the original Tamil film starring ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar, Lakshmi Menon essayed the crucial role of Thamizh and the makers of the Telugu remake are keen on roping in a talented actress like Sai Pallavi to reprise the same. While there is no official information regarding the same, grapevine suggests that both the senior hero and the director have already held talks with the ‘Love Story’ actress.
Recently, responding to Meher Ramesh’s birthday wish, Pawan Kalyan thanked the director and wished all the best for his forthcoming film with Chiranjeevi. This tweet by the ‘Vakeel Saab’ actor has officially confirmed the project. Regarding the collaboration, a source told a leading portal that Chiranjeevi is impressed with the changes made to the original script to suit his image and regional sensibilities. He also reportedly gave a green signal to Ramesh to kick-off the pre-production formalities.
The much-anticipated remake is expected to go on floors once the 65-year-old actor wraps up his present film ‘Acharya’ and ‘Lucifer’ remake. From the past few days, rumours are rife that VV Vinayak has replaced Sujeeth Reddy as the director for the actioner.
Set against the backdrop of Dharmasthali, the first look poster of Acharya showcased the ‘Sye Raa’ star from the backside as he attacks a group of goons with a knife in his hand. Starring Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady, the social-actioner is directed by Koratala Siva and Regina Cassandra will be seen in a special song.
