Well-known Kollywood producer and actor J Sathishkumar, who is called JSK, has revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
In a tweet posted on his social media page, JSK informed that he had symptoms of #COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment. He also added that people who had come in contact with him recently get themselves tested and stay safe.
“Today for me Deducted #covid have symptoms fever body pain undergoing treatment suggest people who had contact with me for past few days to undergo Covid test #besafe (sic)’,” he wrote.
The National Award winner has produced acclaimed films like Ram’s Thanga Meenkal and Taramani (starring Andrea and Vasanth Ravi), Bramma’s Kuttram Kadithal and also commercial entertainers like the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, directed by Gokul.
As an actor, JSK was seen in films like Taramani and Peranbu. He is also part of many upcoming films, including Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony’s Agni Siragugal, Sibi Sathyaraj’s Kabadadhaari, the Harbhajan Singh-starrer Friendship, and Ranjit Jeyakodi’s Yaarukkum Anjael, which has Bindu Madhavi in the lead role.
The producer was among the earliest in Kollywood to appeal to the industry to take care of its people after COVID-19 came to Indian shores. During the early days of the lockdown, in March, JSK had donated Rs 2 lakh to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the government in its fight against the pandemic and had also requested the film fraternity to “donate generously” towards the cause, adding that it was the duty of the well-off in the film industry to take care of the public.
