Bollywood actor-screenwriter Neil Nitin Mukesh turned 39 just last month and although the actor is grateful for all that he has in life – a thriving career, a beautiful wife, a lovely daughter and an involved family – Neil feels that the last four decades of his life has been a learning experience for him.
“I celebrated my 39th birthday on January 15 this year. And, for me, the life’s biggest teachings in the last four decades have been: number one, the importance of self belief. Number two, the importance of patience. Number three is the importance of hard work. And most importantly, number four is the importance of health,” he told Bombay Times.
In an earlier interview, on his fourth marriage anniversary, Neil had talked about his family life at length. Here’s what he said, “… I am truly blessed to have a beautiful and great companion like Rukimini. She has changed me a lot; she has taught me how to really love and what a partner should really be. Rukmini is someone I look up to, admire and I am really proud I call her my wife. I am sure every man feels that way about his partner and every wife wants to be seen this way by her husband. But I can tell you this with guarantee that mine is the best (chuckles). Rukmini has kind of anchored me, which is something I really needed. I am a creative man and I have a massive creative outlet in her. I really think she is biggest blessing in my life.”
