It looks like movie goers in Tamil Nadu will have to wait a little longer to watch the latest releases in theatres. The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday extended the coronavirus-induced lockdown until October 31 with new relaxations. A statement sent out by the government today said that recreational places like theatres, amusement parks, swimming pools, community halls, beaches, zoos, museums and tourist spots where people congregate in large numbers will remain closed.
Under the new guidelines, the film industry can proceed with film shoots with a maximum crew of 100 persons by following all the required SOPs which includes compulsory wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and sanitizing measures. Visitors will not to be allowed on the sets.
The government had earlier allowed film shoots with 75-member strength as many workers had been hit due to the lockdown
