Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jaya Ahsan are two of biggest names of Bengal and Bangladesh and finally they came together for Atanu Ghosh’s ‘Robibaar’. This wasn’t the film’s only USP, after the huge success of Mayurakshi this was also the first time Prosenjit worked with Atanu Ghosh.
‘Robibaar’ is a emotionally triggered relationship drama. The story follows Sayoni (Jaya Ahsan) and Asimabha (Prosenjit Chatterjee), who come across each other one fine Sunday, after a long gap of fifteen years. Tempered with loads of conflict and deceit, the film promises to offer another magical experience.
“Working with Atanu is quite a challenge for me. He is one of my favourite directors. He brings a different flavour to his scripts and characterisation,” explained Prosenjit when speaking about his successful partnership with Atanu Ghosh.
But what took him so long to work with Jaya Ahsan? “I was waiting for the right script to work with her. I had also waited for a long time to work with Soumitra Uncle (Soumitra Chatterjee) before Mayurakshi,” revealed the Tolly superstar.
