This pandemic has given us time to introspect: Raima Sen

While the entire nation was put under lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, Tolly stars made the most of their time while staying at home. Some kept themselves busy in learning new instruments, others spent their time reading books or honing their painting skills. Meanwhile, a section of the Bengali celebs also tried their hand at cooking and turned into home chefs during this period.

Raima Sen who is hitting her home gym every day for an hour feels she has never worked out so much in life. “I feel so much of energy after a session. It makes me feel good. I am doing cardio on one day, weights on another day. If I do cardio, I’ll do it for an hour. Same for weight training. I am also reading books, spending time with my parents, spring cleaning, sorting out old clothes and shoes to give away,” said the actress in an exclusive chat with ETimes.

Speaking about the current scenario, Raima believes this pandemic is nature’s response to human transgressions.

“We took everything for granted. This lockdown has given us time to introspect. We are learning to value relationships once again. Everyone is praying for a corona-free world. This ‘single dream’ unites us all across the world — irrespective of cast, creed or religion. I urge people to stay at home to break this chain. When you have to step out, please wear a homemade mask. Keep aside surgical and N95 masks for medical professionals and maintain hygiene to combat the virus,” urged the seasoned actress.

Raima was last seen in Srijit Mukherji’s thriller ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ which also starred Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Anirban Bhattacharya in the lead.
