The new normal forced people to make changes in their usual Durga Puja plans. This year, many of us stayed put at home. Like others, actress Manali Manisha Dey also treaded cautiously this Puja.
“This Durga Puja was definitely different from other years. I would request people to be safe than sorry. It’s true that celebrations usually know no bounds but with the on-going pandemic people need to adhere to safety protocols strictly. It’s better to spend this Puja with loved ones at home. This way, a lot of catching up can be done. I also did that,” Manali told us in an exclusive chat.
The actress also thinks this year should be more about adda at home while reminiscing the bygone years. Since Durga Puja is a special occasion for her, like it is for everyone, she can’t help but gorge on good food at home. “Since childhood, I have always eagerly waited for Durga Puja. Those days, life was so carefree and especially the four days of Puja was fun because we didn’t have to study. Even elders would be so busy that there was no scolding for all the mischief done. And wearing new clothes day and night for the four days was looked forward to,” Manali shared with ETimes.
