We are still a year away from the release of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, but the spoilers are already flooding the social media space.
Photos and full-length videos of Melissa McCarthy, Matt Damon, and Luke Hemsworth in full costume shooting their scenes for the upcoming Marvel film have leaked online. The clips see Melissa as Hela, a character originally played by Cate Blanchett in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and Matt Damon reprising his role as Loki while Luke Hemsworth takes on the role of Thor, played by his brother Chris Hemsworth. The three appeared to be filming a comical theatrical play, which previously played out in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
Going by the videos, the cast were recreating the events of the battle between the God of Thunder and the Goddess of Death, but in a comical light.
The shots were taken while the team filmed their scenes in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday. Director Taika Waititi was also spotted on the sets. He, however, didn’t seem to like the media attention and was seen flipping the finger to the cameramen.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is slated for a 2022 release. The film will see Hemsworth back in action along with Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman. The film will also star Christian Bale as the antagonist. He will play the role of Gorr the God Butcher.
If rumours are anything to go by, then Bale may just go on to play Marvel’s next big supervillain, one who can put even Thanos to shame.
