Throwback Thursday: When Raima’s childhood picture with sister and mother won hearts

Tollywood is thriving on nostalgia amidst the nationwide lockdown and here’s a throwback from last year when actor Raima Sen shared a childhood photo from her family album and it went viral straight away.

Granddaughter of Suchitra Sen, and the elder daughter of actor-turned-MP, Moon Moon Sen, Raima Sen came a long way since her debut in a small role in Shabana Azmi-starrer ‘Godmother’ in 1999. Despite being choosy with her roles, she is now one of the most sought after actors in Tollywood.

Despite all the success in her career, looks like Raima Sen hasn’t forgotten her roots or even her humble upbringing, as she shared a throwback picture on Twitter from her childhood days. The photo of a young Raima and Riya Sen along with their mother Moommoon Sen is really worth a watch as the caption read, “childhood memories”.

Not many people know Raima also enjoys a connection with Maharani Gayatri Devi as Raima’s father Bharat Dev Varma is from the royal family of Cooch Behar and Bharat Dev Varma’s mother Ila Devi was the elder sister of Gayatri Devi.

On the work front, the Bengali diva was last seen in Srijit Mukherji’s recently released ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ opposite Parambrata Chattopadhyay. The ‘Baishey Srabon’ sequel has been lapped up by the audience. Among few other Bollywood projects, Raima is all set for her Tamil debut with ‘Agni Siragugal’, being directed by Naveen of ‘Moodar Koodam’ fame.
