Indranil Roychowdhury who has already made two films ‘Phoring’ and ‘Mayar Jonjal’ is now ready with his third film based on Shyamal Bandopadhyay’s story ‘Jatin Darogar Betanto’. Starring Bratya Basu, Ritwick Chakraborty and Tuhina Das in the lead, the film will soon hit the floors.
While Bratya Basu will play Jatin Daroga, Tuhina will be seen as a small-town girl opposite Ritwick. After receiving accolades for her natural acting in Aparna Sen directed ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’, Tuhina is now a well-known face in Tollywood. “I want to do content-driven films right now and Indranil Roychowdhury always works with unique subjects. Also I am so excited to share the screen with Bratya Basu and Ritwick Chakraborty. The talented actress is also playing key roles in Soumyajit Majumder’s ‘Homecoming’ and Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s ‘Abhijaan’ which is the biopic of Soumitra Chatterjee and Tuhina will be seen in the role of Waheeda Rehman.
Although Tuhina will be working with Indranil for the first time, Ritwick and Bratya have worked with the critically acclaimed filmmaker earlier as well.
Bratya Basu is also very much excited to be a part of this yet to be titled film. “This is the third time I am working with Indranil. I am always keen to work with him and this script is such a nice one to be made into a film,” said Bratya who is currently shooting for his own directorial ‘Dictionary’ right now.
While Indranil’s first film ‘Phoring’ was loved by ones and all, his second film ‘Mayar Jonjal’ is waiting for its theatrical release.
