Veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s brother Aslam Khan, who tested positive for COVID-19, passes away

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s brother Aslam Khan passed away early this morning at a Mumbai hospital. His two brothers, Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan were admitted to the hospital on August 16 after they tested positive for coronavirus. Both were said to be in a critical condition. According to ANI, the younger brother of the ace actor passed away on Friday morning. According to the hospital, he had diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease apart from being tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier, the doctor treating both of them told ETimes, “They are critical because of their age and comorbidities. Their vital organs are beginning to become a cause of concern.”

Confirming their hospitalization and giving us an update on their health, Saira Banu had told ETimes, “They are under treatment of Jalil Parker and Cardiologist Nitin Gokhale. Pray that they should recover well by the Grace of God…AAMEEN.”

Reportedly, the two were admitted to the hospital late Saturday night after they complained of breathlessness. They were rushed to Lilavati immediately and are on non-invasive ventilator support since then. While Ehsaan is 90 year old, Aslam was 88.
