Vivekh to initiate planting of saplings in Chennai on Kalam’s birth anniversary

Actor Vivekh is known for his dedication towards environmental causes as much as for his acting excellence. He has been quite active in planting tree saplings and encouraging others also to do. He has been involved in planting several lakhs of tree saplings as part of different initiatives. Going by his social media profile, he has been involved in planting 33.23 lakh saplings and targets to plant 1 crore saplings. The actor has also been a strong follower of former president of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s teachings. Now, the actor has decided to initiate planting of saplings at two locations in Chennai on the occasion of APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary on October 15.

The actor took to his social media page and made the announcement about planting of saplings at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School at Thirumalai Pillai Road in T Nagar and Vasan Street in T Nagar. The actor shared the posters of the event on his social media page and thanked Rotary International 3232 for giving him 3232 tree saplings for his Green Kalam movement. The actor has been quite active when it comes to environmental causes. In fact, last month, he commented on a followers post and said how he also thought about the possibility to convert Kathipara and Koyambedu junctions into oxygen zones with cluster of trees or mini parks.

On the work front, the actor was last seen in ‘Dharala Prabhu’, a remake of the Bollywood film ‘Vicky Donor’. His performance in the film, along with Harish Kalyan, has been widely appreciated.
