Rohit Shetty’s Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ is reportedly scheduled to have a Diwali release. However, given the COVID-19 situation in the country, the Government remains indecisive about the opening of theatres. Akshay Kumar was recently asked if he is fine with the digital release of ‘Sooryavanshi’. Replying to the same, Akshay reportedly told a news portal that OTT or theatre, he is completely on board with whatever decision the makers of the movie take.
Elaborating further, he stated that the business of cinema is not going anywhere and there is nothing that can beat the experience of watching a movie on the big screen. Rohit Shetty’s directorial was scheduled to hit the theatres on March 24 this year. However, the film was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
The film also stars Katrina Kaif along with Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The movie also features Ajay Devgn (‘Singham’) and Ranveer Singh (‘Simmba’) in special cameos. This film is the next in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar has a very interesting line-up of films in his pipeline which include, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Bell Bottom’ and ‘Atrangi Re’. The actor is currently shooting for ‘Bell Bottom’ in Scotland with his team.
