We had earlier reported that actress Taapsee Pannu will be seen in an out-and-out comedy, directed by debutant Deepak Sundarrajan, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi in an important role. The shooting for the film has begun today and the latest update is that popular comedian Yogi Babu has been roped in to play a full length role in the movie.
Director Deepak, son of veteran director-actor R Sundarrajan, has assisted Vijay before. The film is a humour-based script and has a huge ensemble cast, including some well-known comedians from Kollywood, with Taapsee playing a street-smart woman in the film.
Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu will also be seen in Jayam Ravi-starrer ‘Jana Gana Mana’ directed by Ahmed. The untitled movie is produced by Sujataa Vijayakumar’s Home Movie Makers and has music by D Imman. Tipped as an espionage thriller, the film has Taapsee playing an agent with multiple appearances. It was also recently revealed that KGF fame Ramachandra Raju will be playing the negative role in the film.
Actor Yogi Babu is one of the most busy actors in Tamil cinema with a huge line up of films in his kitty. The popular comedian is a part of most of the films being made, which includes Dikkilona, Panni Kutty, Mandela, Vellai Yanai, Kanni Raasi and Trip among others.
